POST PROCESSING / FINISHING Harvest offers several different finishing solutions to accommodate a wide array of projects including functional prototypes, aesthetic/show models, casting patterns, and end use parts. Our highly skilled staff specializes in providing tailored finishing solutions that meet your exact specifications. We provide everything from basic finishing to color-matching, metal plating, and texturing. We can also accommodate many other needs such as decal application, masking, over-molding, or special paint requests.  We provide custom finishing for many of our customers. Some of our more common finishing levels are listed below. Strip and Ship Parts are broken out and excess material is cleaned off. No supports structure remnants are removed (available for SL parts only) Natural Parts are broken out and any excess material is removed. Any holes are chased, but layer lines are still visible. Improved Surfaces have been sanded and some layer lines have been removed. The part is blasted to give an even matte finish. Secondary post-processing applications are available for improved finished parts (i.e. painting) Master Surfaces have been sanded and all layer lines are removed. Parts undergo proprietary finishing techniques to give them the smoothest finish possible. Cosmetic surfaces feel similar to injection molded parts. This finish level is perfect for aesthetic/show models. |
